After Rihanna's tweet Akshay, Karan Johar and other celebs urge all to stay united in turbulent times
India is witnessing one of the major protests these days as thousands of the farmers have been protesting at Delhi’s Singhu border against the new farm laws being imposed by the Indian government.
After being criticised for shying away from publicly speaking on political issues, Bollywood biggies have rallied behind the Indian government on the farmers’ protest. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar amongst others have come out in support of the Central government’s clarification on the farmers’ protest.
While everyone is concerned about the turbulent times, some celebs have taken to social media to express their views about the same.
Ajay Devgn has urged his massive fan following not to fall for any false propaganda in these trying times. He tweeted, “Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies. It’s important to stand united at this hour w/o any infighting.”
On the other hand, Karan Johar called farmers the backbone of the country and asked everyone not to let anyone divide them. KJo wrote, “We live in turbulent times and the need of the hour is prudence and patience at every turn. Let us together make every effort we can to find solutions that work for everyone—our farmers are the backbone of India. Let us not let anyone divide us.”
Akshay also tweeted about the same and wrote, "Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences."
Meanwhile, talking about the ongoing protest, international singer Rihanna has also come out in support of farmers.
