3 tips to achieve your New Year's fitness goal


There’s something so refreshing about the start of the new year. You have that feeling of new year new me. You wish to change yourself for good, your habits, and many such fresh thoughts come to your mind.

Many of us swore to our new year resolutions. Be it writing a novel, finishing up an unfinished work, travelling more, working more, spending time with your loved ones etc. But, one of the major new year resolution we all have is working on our fitness. Right? Many people begin an exercise program, but abandon it before time. However, you can increase your chances for long-term success if you follow these 3 simple tips to achieve your fitness goals. Yes, there are tips, you can follow to achieve your dream body.

Create a Plan

Yes, strategy is important. Before you start your exercise program, answer three questions. First, when will you exercise? Second, what type of exercise will you do? Third, how much time will you spend exercising? Start with as little as 10 minutes per session and slowly build up to at least 30 minutes per workout.

And don't stress your body too much at the start.

Take It Easy

You are much more likely to be successful if you take it easy at the beginning. For instance, you may see people exercising at a very high intensity, but you should start with low-to-moderate intensity workouts. You may know people who train six days a week, but it's fine to start with three


Be Realistic!!

Setting goals is a great idea, but make sure they are realistic and feasible. So is a goal to complete a 5K run by tax day. Conversely, a goal to complete a marathon by that date is unrealistic and potentially unsafe for newbie runners. Start slow (i.e., low intensity and duration), develop a solid foundation of fitness and then build upon that foundation as your fitness improves.

So get up and start working out.
