Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi's father Arvind Joshi passed away on the morning of January 29. The popular Gujarati theatre actor and director Arvind Joshi was suffering from age-related diseases and died at the age of 84. He was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Bombay.
His son Sharman Joshi recently spoke about how he feels left out of the film industry because of his background in theatre. He said, “I do feel a little sorry for me sometimes, that I was not connected to a film industry family. I was born into a theatre family, though, so I have plenty of experience on that front."
Arvind Joshi is survived by his two children- Sharman Joshi and Mansi Roy and his wife. Mansi is a former TV actress, married to actor Rohit Roy.
Lok Sabha MP and actor Paresh Rawal also tweeted about the demise of Arvind. He said that Arvind’s death is an irreparable loss to the Indian theatre. Paresh said that when he thinks of Arvind’s performances then words like stalwart, versatile actor and accomplished thespian come to his mind.
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha director Anil Sharma said that he is saddened to hear about Arvind’s death and also expressed his condolences to Sharman and other members of Arvind’s family.
A well-known name in the world of showbiz, he has acted in films such as Sholay, Ittefaq, and Apmaan Ki Aag.
